Accreditation

An ACSI Accredited School

Mercy Ships Academy is an accredited international school, so volunteers on the ship do not have to worry about the education of their children. This seal of quality has been issued by the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI). It denotes that the Mercy Ships Academy has met institutional standards of quality and is committed to strategic improvement and ongoing accountability. Also, ACSI promotes the value and worthiness of accreditation and encourages each school and education program to continuously pursue excellence.

The process of accreditation involves three significant elements:

1. Intensive, institution-wide self-appraisal, analysis, and improvement planning
2. External consultation, review, validation, and insights from a visiting peer group
3. Ongoing accountability for improvement through annual reporting

Mercy Ships Academy was initially accredited by ACSI and MSA as an international Christian school in 2011 and re-accredited in 2018.
